As parents, we are of no use to our kids when we are overwhelmed. It’s crucial, then, that we keep in touch with our own physical, mental and emotional pulse so we can provide the nurturing guidance and structure our children need.
Join school psychologist David P. Sylvestro, MA, CSP, for a free, in-person discussion about ways to keep ourselves “steady and ready”— making sure our oxygen masks are properly on, knowing how to recognize when our own stress levels may be interfering with our parenting goals, and what to do when that happens.
Panelists Carolina Corrigan and Janine Kelly, moms who are professionals in the field of special education and advocacy, will be available to talk about their personal journeys and answer attendees’ questions.
