The Worry Paradox:
The More You Fight Anxiety,
The More It Holds On
Dawn Huebner, PhD
Tuesday, February 1, 2022
10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
WEBINAR

Passcode: t5f?7J8i
The information and strategies are applicable to children in Pre-K through grade 5.
Sometimes “worry” has a way of turning into “WORRY” in the blink of an eye, causing children to fret about unlikely scenarios and shrink away from routine challenges, holding entire families hostage.
Wouldn’t it be nice to get rid of it?
Unfortunately, much of what parents do to banish worry ends up strengthening it. That’s the worry paradox, that our attempts to relieve anxiety actually lock it in place. But there’s hope.
This webinar, led by Dawn Huebner, PhD, and moderated by Wilton Public schools staff, will help parents to think about anxiety in a new way and to gain skills to support children without inadvertently reinforcing their anxiety.
