Transitioning to College:
A Roadmap for Reasonable Accommodations Under Section 504
Robert M. Tudisco, Esq.
June 18, 2020
10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
WEBINAR
Despite their intelligence and enormous potential, students with ADHD and LD face serious difficulties transitioning from high school to college. One demanding aspect of this transition is the variety of legal changes that many students and their parents are unfamiliar with and are not equipped to address. If tackled proactively, however, the challenges can be reduced dramatically so these students can have the opportunity to thrive in the new post-secondary environment.
Robert M. Tudisco, Esq., a nationally recognized author, motivational speaker, practicing attorney, and adult diagnosed with ADHD, will address legal changes that occur with the transition to college, such as converting IEPs and 504 Plans to reasonable accommodation requests; aids, services, and modifications that must be provided; and the importance of using FERPA to proactively address the flow of information in the college setting.
