Jane Thierfeld Brown, EdD

Jane Thierfeld Brown, EdD, Director of College Autism Spectrum, former Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale Child Study and former Director of Student Services at the University of Connecticut School of Law, has 40 years’ experience working in the field of disability services. She has appeared on Good Morning America, CBS News and WNPR, has co-authored Student with Asperger’s: A Guide for College Professionals (2009); The Parent’s Guide to College for Students on the Autism Spectrum (2012); Behavior Management and Self-Regulation (2012), and numerous textbook chapters and articles.

Dr. Brown consults with families, students, school districts and institutions of higher education, and helps parents determine their teen’s strengths and needs, make decisions as a family, and prepare their teens for the educational, executive functioning, and social challenges that lie ahead. Dr. Brown is married and has three children, the youngest being a 29-year-old son with autism.
