Julie has been a special education advocate for over 20 years. Her practice grew out of her efforts to help her son who has autism. As a Disability Specialist, Julie’s practice is dedicated exclusively to helping parents of children with disabilities obtain appropriate special education services. She specializes in adaptive skills, assistive technology and life skills products.

Julie created YourSpecialEducationRights.com, a video-based resource for parents, and co-authored “Your Special Education Rights: What Your School District Isn’t Telling You,” both with special education attorney Jennifer Laviano. Now known as the “Life Skills Lady,” Julie speaks frequently on special education matters and has an extensive history of service on special education-related Connecticut state boards and task forces as well as legislative appointments to state councils.
